Through Patina Capital, I work closely with a small number of CEOs and business owners as a coach and advisor.
My CEO advisory work is selective by design. I’m most helpful when I can build context, earn trust, and engage deeply, and not when I’m spread thin or offering surface-level advice. I enjoy this work. It gives me energy. Sharpens my perspective. And it’s deeply fulfilling to see the impact that thoughtful leadership can have on a business and the people inside it.
I typically work with founders and business owners who are looking for greater leverage. Not more activity, but clearer judgment about what actually matters.
Focus Areas
The work is consistent across engagements and centers on a few core areas:
Identifying true levers — the small number of decisions or changes that meaningfully move outcomes
Time allocation and leadership cadence — adjusting where time is spent and how the organization is led to get more from both the team and the business
Integration of work and life — using the business to enrich life, rather than allowing it to consume it
Navigating inflection points — new leadership roles, acquisitions, periods of transition, or moments of crisis
How I Work
Six-month engagements
Flat quarterly fee
60- or 90-minute sessions every three weeks
Ongoing email and short calls between sessions are encouraged
I bring perspective shaped by building and operating companies, investing alongside founders, and serving in governance roles. My role is not to prescribe answers, but to help leaders think clearly — especially when information is incomplete, incentives are misaligned, and the stakes are real.
I work best with leaders who take responsibility seriously and are willing to slow down enough to make better decisions — and to grow as both operators and humans.
